Market BasicsBeginner

Definition

The Nasdaq-100 is weighted by market cap and is heavy in technology. QQQ is a well-known fund that tracks it. It is different from the broader Nasdaq Composite, which includes thousands of listings.

Watch out for

A few mega-cap names make up a large share of the index, so it can be less diversified than it looks.
