Rug pull

A scam where project creators take investors' money and abandon the project.

CryptoBeginner

Definition

Rug pulls are most common with new tokens on decentralized exchanges: the creators drain the liquidity or sell their holdings, and the price collapses.

Watch out for

Check whether liquidity is locked, who holds the supply and whether the code is audited. Be skeptical of anonymous teams and promised returns.
