Stop-limit order

A stop order that becomes a limit order, not a market order, once triggered.

Orders & TradingBeginner

Definition

You set two prices: a stop price that activates the order and a limit price that caps what you will accept. It protects you from a bad fill, but if the price gaps through your limit, the order may not fill at all and you stay in the trade.
